This article from a July, 1961 magazine called Today's Motor Sports contains photographs believed to be from an SCCA National in 1960. IMHO, the pictures are better than the story. We're guessing that the author did not get invited to the track's Christmas parties after writing this article!

Wanted: Pictures of all the different types of vehicles that raced at Meadowdale besides sports cars.
Have you got photos of stock cars, karts, cycles, drag racers, snowmobiles, and all the other things that raced at Meadowdale International Raceway? See your pictures on the Internet!
The site author is a sports car fan, so most of his photos are in that area. Get your sport represented! Dig out those old photos and send them in. GRID Magazine story on the first SCCA National at MIR
The exact date of this event is unknown, but it apears to be the same event covered by the story above. It also appears that it might be the same event featured in the film "The Meister Brausers", produced by Peter Hand Breweries about Harry Heuer and Augie Pabst and their adventures with the Scarabs.
